Vegfest London 2015

Two weekends ago I had the pleasure of attending, for the first time, the VegFest London, an event organized by the local community with the purpose of sending a message of kindness and demonstrating that it is delicious to eat cruelty-free food. It was their second year, and from what many people said, they improved a lot from the previous year. I wasn't expecting the massive crowd of people that came through the doors during the first couple hours of the event, and I'm sure this will be a one-way road to expansion from now on. I was thrilled with the positive energy and enthusiasm of the vendors and public in general, including people with all different beliefs but all looking for the same goal... a change!

Events like VegFest are a precious gift for people like me (who recently moved to a new city) as well as for Vegans, Vegetarians, Raw-foodies or curious people looking for some answers. Being there made me feel like home, surrounded by like-minded individuals seeking to share some love for our planet, protect our environment, take care of our bodies and save our animal friends. It was a great place to meet people with the same interests and build strong relationships with the fast-paced growing Vegan community of this city. You will be surprised at how many established and new small businesses are sharing this message of conscious living and sustainability. From organic produce to vegan desserts and dairy-free cheese, you will find anything you need to ease the transition into a better life and a better planet, the change is happening, and it makes me so happy to see how many people are jumping on board.

Thank you to the organizers, vendors and sponsors for such a great time and for exposing the great things that are going on here. You helped me and thousands of people discover new places and products, learn from the cooking demonstrations, try free samples and become motivated to add healthier practices into our lives (special thanks to Abby for all the dedication, you are a loud voice for Vegans). Check out some images from the event and start getting ready for next year, because I'm sure it will be mind-blowing!
